Here are some detailed testimonials from former students.

...I went from failing the class to scoring above median on an extra hard final exam. Ryan took me through the whole thing with confidence...

This was the first time I was taking a proofs based math class, I had not met the departmental requirement for the introduction to proofs class I had just taken. It was abstract linear Algebra, I went from failing the class to scoring above median on an extra hard final exam. Ryan took me through the whole thing with confidence. He was part of the reason I was able to get there.

Jasper,...An awesome tutor that continuously went above and beyond to help me succeed in every one of my math/stats courses...

I worked with Ryan from my sophomore year (2013) through graduation (2016) from the University of Washington Mathematics Dept. with a B.A. in Mathematics with a focus on Statistics. Ryan was an awesome tutor that continuously went above and beyond to help me succeed in every one of my math/stats courses.

As I moved into higher levels and harder math or stats classes, Ryan tailored his tutoring techniques to meet my needs and even created his own test problems for me that focused on my weakest areas. Having a learning disability, Ryan understood how to work with me in a way that leveraged my strengths to tackle the courses that were the most difficult for me such as theory and abstract courses. Above all else, Ryan was encouraging and never made me feel 'stupid' for not grasping a topic on the first, or tenth, try :).

As I moved into stats courses that were out of his wheelhouse, Ryan studied the courses on his own time to be able to continue tutoring me on the new material. It was little actions like this that made Ryan a topnotch tutor. Throughout my time with Ryan, he demonstrated that he truly cared about each of his students and was invested in our success in the long-term.

Studying at UW meant that helpful resources for your math courses, especially as you got to the 300 - 400 level classes, were virtually non-existent, so having a reliable, patient and smart tutor like Ryan made all the difference. If you need consistent help throughout your degree or sporadic tutoring for individual courses, Ryan is your guy!

Clarissa,...I enjoyed Ryan as a tutor and would highly recommend his service...

Working with Ryan as a tutor really helped me better understand the material we were going through every week. Ryan would make sure I fully understood the material or certain terms before moving onto the next problem. Although we only met once a week, I was able to grasp a lot that was happening in the classroom especially when we learned material before my teacher taught it. Overall, I enjoyed Ryan as a tutor and would highly recommend his service.

Vanessa,...Tutoring from him was an incredibly positive experience, and an important reason why I was able to complete my degree on time...

I am a recent graduate with a degree in math from Colorado State University. During my senior year I came across multiple courses that, based on my early grades, I would not pass. These courses were essential to earning my degree, and were the ones in which I received tutoring from Ryan.

As a mathematician, Ryan possesses the capabilities necessary to solve problems, as well as an incredible understanding of a vast array of subjects. Because of this, Ryan was able to fully understand the material that I needed help with, allowing him to successfully breakdown and explain topics which were difficult for me at the time.

On top of his skill and grasp of math, Ryan has the social skills that are not usually placed on a person who is very skilled at math. While to some this is not a big deal, it was one of the selling points of why he was such a great tutor for me. Ryan is able to communicate well, laugh at his own silly mistakes and teach in a way which is interesting and keeps the learner interested.

Overall, tutoring from him was an incredibly positive experience, and an important reason why I was able to complete my degree on time.

Adam,...Finding Ryan to help my daughter prepare for her daunting calculus exam was an absolute blessing...

Finding Ryan to help my daughter prepare for her daunting calculus exam was an absolute blessing. Ryan was prompt responding to our initial email, he was friendly, knowledgable and flexible.

My daughter felt incredibly comfortable with him and reaped leaps of confidence with every session. She started out feeling as though she couldn't get one answer correct and after 2 months was at ease that she would pass the exam. He is a rare find to work with students and a mathematical whiz. Highly recommend!!!

Tami,...Has very solid knowledge..and the ability to solve and demonstrate mathematical problems in a very easy way...for anyone who needs help, I highly recommend Ryan...

When I was studying math in undergraduate, some of the courses were really hard to understand and I was not able to solve some of the problems. Fortunately, a friend of mine introduced me to Ryan, because he got help from him for the same course I was struggling with.

Ryan has very solid knowledge about the subject, he is confident and has the ability to solve and demonstrate mathematical problems in a very easy way. He helped me in two courses namely abstract algebra and mathematical modeling. As mathematics majors may know, abstract algebra as its name implies is very abstract, which requires a lot of proof. Ryan helped me to understand the concepts and he showed me how to prove with a lot of examples and this helped me to succeed in the exams.

In mathematical modeling, the subject is not hard. However there were three projects given by the instructor and all of them were really hard to understand. So, I went to Ryan with my notebook and he explained some of the examples given by the instructor, which helped me to deal with these projects. In all these courses, thanks to him I passed with A grades.

To sum up, Ryan is a really outstanding and understanding guy. His explanation is very detailed and to the point. So, for anyone who needs help, I highly recommend Ryan

Fissaha,...I met with Ryan three times --- it was some of the best money I’ve spent...In a word Ryan is a phenomenal teacher...

I returned to school in my 50’s to complete a college education that started about 30 years ago. Math was never a great subject for me and so I delayed this general requirement about as long as I could. I struggled for the first two weeks of class which included trig, algebra, statistics & probability along with consumer math. After two weeks I was ready to throw in the towel. I talked with my professor and agreed to at least try to find a tutor and give it one more shot.

After a search online, I found Ryan Wenzel and scheduled an appointment right away. I will admit I was scared to death that when we met for the first time, he would think I was just plain dumb. It ended up being just the opposite. His encouragement brought me some much needed confidence. I learned that it’s not all about natural mathematical talent or memorizing, instead it requires practicing over and over until you get it right.

I met with Ryan three times --- it was some of the best money I’ve spent. He taught me how to learn math and he built confidence. I ended up with a 96.6 – an “A” in the class! Even better – I actually looked forward to the time I spent learning math! I’ve learned math in a way that sticks with me.

In a word Ryan is a phenomenal teacher. He is kind and patient and thorough — and very affordable.

Christian,...Knows his stuff. I would recommend him to anyone struggling in a college level math class...

Ryan tutored me for linear algebra, as well as in differential equations. Linear wasn't my cup of tea, and I definitely wouldn't have passed linear algebra without his help. Ryan is very responsive, and can be reached by txt, email, and Dropbox if you have any questions at any time. Ryan knows his stuff. I would recommend him to anyone struggling in a college level math class (or any level math class). Thank you Ryan!

...[His] ability to really see the strengths and weaknesses that a student possesses make him a great find...

Ryan is a great tutor. His knowledge and passion about mathematics coupled with his patience, ability to explain the subject matter, and ability to really see the strengths and weaknesses that a student possesses make him a great find. He is punctual and has increased our daughter's confidence, understanding and interest in the material as well as test performance.

...His intellectual curiosity and ability to grasp new concepts quickly were commendable. I would recommend him to anyone looking for help in any quantitative course....

Ryan helped me with complex derivations and problem solving in fluid dynamics. He was a very effective and efficient tutor.

Although he did not have experience tutoring in my specific type of application of fluid dynamics (atmospheric sciences), he was able to figure it out quickly, with his strong abilities in applications of physics concepts, and teach it to me. Not only did he learn the material rather quickly, but he was also great at explaining complex math and physics to me.

Given that it was a graduate level fluid dynamics course, his intellectual curiosity and ability to grasp new concepts quickly were commendable. I would recommend him to anyone looking for help in any quantitative course.

Additionally, he was flexible and easy to reach despite his busy schedule. When we couldn't work out a time to meet, he was still proactive about helping by working from home on his own time and answering my questions. I would recommend his services 100%.

Misha,...Knows his math very well and can teach you in plain English...

Ryan knows his math very well and can teach you in plain English. I studied Discrete Mathematics with him and I believe I got every question right on the entrance exam to my Master's program. Now we are tackling Linear Algebra. I highly recommend Ryan for your math tutoring!

...It was obvious that Ryan wanted to see me succeed and truly wanted to help...

Ryan was an immense help to me in my graduate level Advanced Engineering math. I returned to graduate school for Chemical Engineering with a non-engineering B.S. after 11 years in the maritime industry. I was well behind my peers. Ryan quickly identified where my skills were, created a comprehensive path forward, and provided me with tools to help quickly re-learn old material as well as new material.

Ryan worked through complex engineering problems with me that I otherwise would not have been able to even begin on my own. He was very flexible with his schedule and locations to meet were always convenient to me.

It was obvious that Ryan wanted to see me succeed and truly wanted to help. Though I faced a steep learning curve, I passed the class in the end with a B+ and was certain Ryan's assistance was key to that success
